Two weeks ago, I started a thread about your best moments in diaboloing. Now I am curious as to what your worst moments are.

Last month, I was busking at a Street Performance festival in Cork, and I looked up to see if I had space to do a high throw. As I started to throw it, a raindrop hit me in the eye, I looked down reflexively,
and got a faceful of finesse.I had a huge burn mark under my eye.The crowd burst into laughter, and at that moment, a festival official threw me out, because I wasn't ''affiliated with the festival'', and took the money I had earned.

Try as you might, it will be hard to top that.

my diabolo getting stuck in a tree from throwing it too high

(i couldnt get it down for 2 days

then storm came and in the morning it was layign on the ground ) i was mad cuz i couldnt juggle for 2 days

Same happened to my green g3 the day after i bought it, i still use it tho, it messed up but still balanced ok. And the sames happened to my fly, amazingly it didnt even get a scratch on it.

I've had 2 diabolos on seperate occasions in the tree and it too me ages to get them both down.

The WORST would be having to go to the eye and ear hospital after playing 2 diabolo combat (I'd recommend against it). The idea being like club combat but you're trying to stuff up everyone else's 2 diabolo shuffle. Anyway, one of my friends kicked one of my diabolos straight into my open eye - it was pretty bad and I couldn't see right for about a week but it's all good now.

When I saw someone kick a diabolo in a video for the first time, it shook me up, easily the wrost thing I've ever seen.

I have no idea how it survived, i have no idea how it didnt even get a scratch. I got very lucky.

One of the worst moments for me is every time I lose my success with 3 low... it appears it's just not meant to be. Getting hit in the nuts deserves a fair 2nd place, agreeing with Leo there. Other than that... leaving an awesome convention, getting a knot on stage without spare sticks, breaking your equipment, etc.

Heck, why do we even keep playing?!

when a car ran over guiz's and mine diabolos capeta g2 (Brazilian bad diabolos, capetas g1 are better, but they were discontinued...)

When I failed at an infiti suicide getting both the sticks and the diabolo in the head. I got so mad that I slamed my g2 several times in the ground so hard that it bended the axle.

I were quiet sad the rest of that day:(

probably when I practised fan and by an accident threw 1 diabolo straight on my b***ls.

and sometimes when I fail genocide I look up and the stick bombs my eye...

I've had plenty of dodgy shows, either because things just weren't going well or because of finding myself in wholly unsuitable venues. One particularly memorable example of the latter was when an already-low-ceiling venue, that I'd been in before, had been decorated into a Carribean theme, with streamers and decorations hanging down to about waist level covering the stage area. Somehow, I was supposed to do my routine in amongst it all, without getting the diabolo string caught up in all the hanging stuff. I got through it somehow, but it must have looked a bit odd. It was certainly a show I won't forget in a hurry.

I guess the most disappointing, in recent times, was the premature end to my BoB routine earlier this year. I'd been very unsure about trying that routine, as the practice beforehand hadn't been going particularly well. As such, I was pleased when, on stage, things seemed to be turning out OK. Then, just as I started to think that all was well and that the finish line was in sight, my head strap came loose and...bang: a rather humiliating end of show that I could do nothing to rescue.

In actual fact though, the genuinely worst incidents both involved high-throws with Renedgade diabolos (hard plastic, for those that are too young to remember...). At one local fete many years back, I mananged to completely total the P.A. system with a misdirected throw. However, the most scary was when, at one of the early Bristol conventions, a high throw landed neatly between Charlie Dancey's arms as he was juggling in the field. I shudder to think what would have happened if he'd been stood just slightly closer.

430 boys, one chinese yoyo. All of them are convinced on sight of it that they are 'so good at it' because they have seen it on tv.

A while back my dad traveled out west and got a bunch of animal skulls and stuff.
I broke two of them with one missed catch of diabolo when I was first starting
also I hit myself in the eye like three times... I'm not sure how.

Hmm... worst/most painful moment must be the time, practising fans and trying to speed the fan up as much as possible and gettin hit in the nuts... Facial expression was a bit like this

Snapping many a pair of sticks especially annoying when they don't actually break but you cant use them because they have snapped inside the handle or something and rotate when using them.
Getting my diabolo run over and watching it bounce all the way down the road under the car (it was undamaged at the end).
Worst was in the days when i first started my only diabolo got stuck on a telephone wire with the sticks for 3 weeks and and in the end had to stand on a car with a broom handle and a Stanley knife taped to the end to try and cut the string and not the wire.

praticing vertax combos with my sun, which has quite a sharp edge due to the nuber of times i dropped it, and it hit me right under my mouth, pretty bloody, and i have a scar.

everytime i hit my nuts

but,one time,doing a UFO,the diabolo jumped and hit me in the eye,i had a wound in the eye,I couldnt put me contact lentes during a week

what was the color of the stick? yellow? try experimenting with different colors and see if it will become red stars?

Several weeks ago, I performed outside in 15 mph wind. It was very gusty, so there was no reliable way to compensate. I made the mistake of trying a few high throws. None of them worked. The performance pretty much stunk!

Yesterday i foolishly did an integral inside and smashed a light bulb.
My mum then told me i can only diabolo in the conservatory and my room.
Today i noticed pink markings on the wall in my room from my sundia fly.
My last option was the conservatory, so i go in, get 2d going do a 2d mini-genocide and the string gets caught on the string dangling from the fan. after i get my string down the light goes off and i can't reach the string to pull to turn the light on.

What great luck i've been having lately

i just moved, so my dad wasnt happy with the dents i made int he wall, so now im only allowed to practice diabolo on the driveway(havent hit the cars yet)

In my room the light has 3 bulbs and I havent smashed any yet but two don't work anymore; one I just need to change the bulb but the other one is broken from the light itself. The wire is hanging. I learned not to do mini-gens inside.

Worst moment i was practicing the ''head hop'' and i just spinned my Finesse in my eye. But I wasn't the first one i see

I also have had something like that a little kid took my rubber king diabolo because I wouldn't let him borrow it when he ran past me I just tripped him and he landed on his face...
