It shouldn't be that hard to switch it off. Have a look in the user manual. But if you can't figure it out, then send it in HD. Just remember that the final video will be SD.

This makes for an interesting conundrum...

Does one keep their best, freshest trick for their own video, which 3 or 4 people will look at.

Or does one submit it to the Collab so that it will be seen by many ... only to be overshadowed by others' greatness?

I'm kinda worried that if I submit something it will look really bad with everyones other clips. And right now the last thing I need is a reputation for being beginner. EDIT: ;)

Sure you may not like it, but calling it that to someone else who's had it is mean. ;)

Weird, i must have the setings wrong coz i made some diabolo vids as well as some parkour for my friends but it always filmed in MOVO. I had to compress it into MPEG-2 or WMV so it could be opened in windows movie maker...?

I saw the link...thanks...but still wie MOVO?

Does anyone have this camero so he can tell my about it? Still in MOVO i hope i will be able to upload it.

I just got a crazy idea for a 2d trick not sure if i will pull it of till the dead line.

Look. I have no idea what MOVO format is, neither does Google:
http://www.google.com/search?q=.movo+video+format
and neither does JVC:
http://support.jvc.com/consumer/product.jsp?modelId=MODL028378&pathId=161&page=3&archive=true
JVC states that your camera records in MPEG-2 with 3 quality settings (ULTRA FINE (8.5Mbps)/FINE (5.5Mbps)/NORM (4.2Mbps)/ECO (1.5Mbps)) Set it somewhere from NORM to ULTRA FINE and you will be OK.

If you need help, read the instruction manual:

I went on google and stuff and i find out that the MOVO thinghy is only informing my that it is a movie. Than i find out that the file it .MOD.

Here you can sye what wiki says_

Other MOD formats

MOD is also the file extension for several other applications:
It is the video file format used on many digital camcorders, such as the JVC Everio, the Canon FS100 and the Panasonic D-Snap SD-card camcorders.

It is used for game modules by the game Neverwinter Nights.
It is used for AMPL module files.
It is used for the old phpBB Modification Templates.
The extension for the binary variant of the wavefront Obj format.

This is what wiki says.

I tried diferent seting but still its the damn MOD.

I will ask my seller thanks anywsays will tall on the forum what happened(if anything will;)

.mod is the file extension but the file format is MPEG-2. You can just rename them to .mpg.

NTSC or PAL non-widescreen. i.e. ideally 720x480 or 720x576 pixels depending on the country of origin for your camera.

Just a bit of advice for anyone using sony vegas.
When you go to render your video, choose Video for Windows (*.avi)
Choose the template Default Template (uncompressed)
Click Custom and change video rendering quality to good, I had renders set at good and best and the only difference is the filesize, 140mb compared to 75mb.
Hope this helps anyone with a slower connection. Also switch to the audio tab and take out the audio to bump it down another couple mbs.

Perhaps it's a better idea to export as PAL DV, instead of Uncompressed. PAL DV is also a template option. And yes, don't export the audio, it saves space.
