Oh yes. It's so awesome to see Tom, Crackers, Langerz and Tommi play - you guys are awesome!

However, I am officially annoyed now that everybody's stealing my 2d stick switch trick!

BTW. What's the thing with claiming?
I don't really get it?
How you know who was the first? (to find the move?, to invent DA move? To publish it on video or internet, here on forum?, performed it first in competition?)

Sharing is good, that keeps diabolo evolving.

Nobody is really stealing routines, at least what I have seen, tricks are just tricks or moves or whatever. In music you can't claim a chord or note... what's the difference. I know I have stuff that I haven't seen other people do. Most of you propably could do it and even in a nicer way than I, but I'm not claiming it. I bet somewhere somebody has done it before or after me. I don't care, if the trick/move/transition/etc. is nice, it's nice. That's it.

I deffinitely take all that I like, maybe find something on my own but I really try to use what I see trickwise.

So what's up with the claiming? can someone explain?

Oh man they were so sweet!

Yes please downloads please.

I can see both points of view re: the claiming trick mentioned in the thread. My personal view is if I see someone perform a trick I like, rather than learn it outright, I will try to tweak it / evolve it to my own way / style / technique. Of course, I suppose it could also be a mark of respect if someone learns a trick invented by another, provided the other gets some recognition for it.

Right, I'll stop there.

The 2d stick switch trick that i did was not meant to go like that, i was going to hit the stick immediately back to a vortex, but i actually forgot what i was going to do  :-|
(I invented the trick in the FDC and it's not the same trick you do)

sorry!   :-|

No need to be sorry Elkku. You haven't done anything wrong. This conversation is pointless. There's no copyright law for tricks and even if the people who just want to claim everything to get reason for bitching, because of their lack of self confidence, want to have copyrights for tricks.

That's just sad. We're talking about tricks. For real 2d stick switch, come on. How unique that is? That's one of the most obvious moves you can think of. Who's first to claim 3d stick switch or 1d stick switch. Oh no nobody can claim those, it's that 2d guy's trick.

Openness and sharing has made diabolo to evolve. Not claiming or signature tricks. Even naming tricks by your own name is ****ed up. It's just for ego boost, nothing else.

It's not about age either or skill level or anything. Tricks are free, it's not even stealing, it's just things you really need to do.

Studying, playing, sharing, jamming are good things and should be encouraged instead of bashing. If everybody starts claim all the stuff and deny others even to try that, Diabolo juggling won't evolve in a way it does now. So please!

I ask honestly from to bottom of my heart that everybody stops claiming ****, We're just talking about tricks here. If somebody learns it, that's only good thing. There's even bigger change to get more tricks for you as well. Nobody loses. It's only win win deal.

I bet all of you know the story that there already would be cure for cancer without those patents in medical study. Which is more valuable claiming patents or cure for cancer?

So what's with the downloading?
Videos are on juggling.tv and you can watch them whenever you want. Why you want the files?

I'm not saying that I won't make them downloadable but can anyone explain? ;)
