Does anyone know where, when, and if there's going to be the next FDC.

and FDC2010 will happen 5. -8.8.2010.
and we have organized some special treats for people staying from EJC2010. Like none can be better.

First 33rd EJC in Joensuu 24.7. -1.8.2010 Then social bus trip (or something totally different) through the country of thousand lakes to Eräjärvi where is time for SDS Diabolothon competition. On a way is great change to check some views, hang out, see sights etc. Then Finally at Eräjärvi is the FDC.

Check for quotes in threads about earlier FDC's, you won't regret coming.

Oh that's totally going to be a great festival again. Seems that it will be more adult than before so that's different. If any questions feel free to ask. We'll make the proper info again when all is planned. Basically it will be like previous years and that info is still available.

I was wondering if there's any more information available at this point and if it would make sense to fly back to the Netherlands from a different airport than Joensuu (where I'm probably flying to for the EJC)? I don't know what the ideal airport would be to depart from, considering the FDC is in Eräjärvi.

So Joensuu is in the East of Finland. But Eräjärvi is much more to west. Closest Airport to Eräjärvi is Tampere Airport which is the Ryanair one. So i think that's the cheapest to use.

The next best option is Helsinki-Vantaa airport which is the main Airport to Finland. For that you'll going to have to travel two hours more than to Tampere. But from Helsinki i think you can get straight flights to pretty much anywhere you like.

What kind of information would you like to get about FDC? Just general info?

Deffinitely different airport if you're doing it all the way. EJC2010 and the FDC10 together. There's also a rock festival in Joensuu just week before EJC so it might be even worth of some thoughts... At least I'm going to all these festivals. http://www.ilosaarirock.fi/2010/english/

Easiest is like Marko said. First fly to Joensuu, then country trip to Eräjärvi and plane either from Tampere or Helsinki. After FDC there's good change to get a lift from me to Stavanger, Norway if anyone is interested.

Ilosaarirock happens quite near,to the EJC2010 with a bit of overlapping so here's good change to see some sights, like lake and stage for fire gala, etc site http://www.ilosaarirock.fi/2010/english/info/festival_site_map.php

Don't know really general info I suppose yeah. An other thing I'd be interested in is information about the trip from Joensuu to Eräjärvi in between, but that's probably a bit early to say. An estimate of the costs of the bus (?) trip and FDC convention would come in very handy to know as well.

If you guys don't know yet, I'll just be patient. Really looking forward to (probably) the best 2 weeks of my life!

I'll make full description of the event during next week with Samuli. We will try to figure out most then. So I'll return to this Martijn. About the bus, well i think we just share it with everybody so the more people will come the cheaper it is. I'll try to figure it all out.

I know this is old topic but OMG this is going to be the first FDC ever if I can get there! first of all i need frined to come with me there if i can come cause im so young but I can't get anyone with me:( I live in finland so thats not a problem. but if i don't get there I will be the worst diaboloist ever. I live in city where is not much diaboloers:( that explains why i cannot do some serious stuff with diabolo and i have diaboloed for about 5 years now! so i have to be there

Haha, that video clip was antique. Didn't even remember it being online anymore...

Seriously it's really rare to see me using anything but wooden sticks, that shouldn't be surprise anymore. Wooden sticks have been my weapon of choice for 10 years and they will remain as one another 10years. There's no real reason for me to change away from wood. Can do everything with them.

FDC2010 videos are on my computer now, will work couple of days with them and then begin to release them one by one.
