All I wanted to do was post in the thread that I assumed already existed but it seems a bjc 2010 thread never got going in the first place so here's a starting block.

I'd love to kick it off with how much I can't wait to go and chill out in the sun with friends with the hope of learning some new stuff, showing off some new stuff and defending a title but for reasons out of my control combined with bad timing I can't make this years bjc

Think inconvenient timing and then throw a s**t storm in amongst it...

To all of you going, have fun, enjoy what sounds like a very well organised convention and get some ball and cup time in, the title's anyones now

Sucks you cant make it Looby and Hath. I can't believe there wasn't a thread for this already.

Any way. from the pre reg numbers (last I saw back in feb 297) It looks like it's going to be a big one.

Hopefully this thread isn't to late for diabolists who didn't already know about it to get there.

Huddersfield is in a fairly good position between Manchester and Leeds, good transport links nearest airports Leeds/Bradford and Manchester (direct rail link from Manchester though IIRC)

Manchester

followed by 2 mile odd bus or walk.

Leeds Bradford

had a quick play with this and it looks like a 2hr bus ride

Leeds Bradford is in theory closer but it's one of those toy airports stuck out in the sticks. All things being equal I'd go via Manchester.

@Hath, can't see France happening for me. It's hard to justify juggly trips these days that don't involve me working while on them in some capacity.
I'm hoping to have some good sessions at the BJC, Pity not everyone will be there but there should be madness going on no doubt.

Thanks sean_, you rule, I couldn´t work out where was best to look for flights to from the other BJC places... I´ve worked out that I can get there by about 5 on the saturday afternoon, and then I´d have to leave at ten on Sunday morning. I think I´m going to give this a miss...
