Sticky diabolo?
« on: July 10, 2005, 07:06:06 PM »
One of my diaboloes seems to stick more than my other diabolo.  Durring wrapped orbits, my blue diabolo over wraps more often than my green diabolo does.  The blue one has had more use if that has anything to do with my troubles.  If there is anything that can be done to remedy my situation, any help would be appretiated.

Sure its not the string? Maybe you should try polishing the/fitting a new axle?

Hmm, check the axle, it may either be dirty or have some little scratches that cause it to stick more. That happened to me a whole lot when I had my aluminum axles with my alu sticks. But I replaced those, so its all good. Old, frizzed, wide, or sticky string may also be a problem.

I know it's not the string because it is brand new.  Is there some way that I can fix it without buying a new axel?  I'm saving my dough for IJA right now.

Hmm, well if the axel is all dented and is metal, you may try to out dent it. I dont reccoment that though, as it probably is very hard, and could fail. Maybe just try to get used to the catchiness of the blue one? Also, are you sure both diabolos have the same axle length?
