Welcome to the forum! I assume you probably have either a Tornado or Finesse diabolo. If you want i can message you some helpful topics?
-Alex

Thanks for the welcome! After some research I figured out I actually have a Juggle Dream 'Rubber Top'. I've been playing with a lot of different diabolos, however, and decided I definitely want a bigger/heavier one - Not sure which to get, though! I would appreciate any links to helpful topics; there's a hell of a lot of material on this forum and I'm not sure where to begin!

1. How many years have you diaboloed for?

I started at school when I was very young, but I have stopped practicing and started again many times. Now is the first time I'm taking it seriously

It was the trend at school and everyone got one. After a while, almost everyone stopped using it but I did not.

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general?

The feeling of doing it, I feel so relaxed and problems disappear in my mind

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average?

The tricks I like the most are with 2 diabolos, but still not able to do them so I like working with 1 diabolo the best

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do?

Not the hardest one but the ones that I enjoy the most are mini genocides, I could spend hours doing mini genocides over and over again.

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done?

I've seen lots of incredible tricks but maybe the one that surprised me the most due to its originality was called "nuginugi", done by Hiroki Kamei.

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?

I'm working on my two diabolos shuffle and some basic 2d tricks. Also learning to do vertax.

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you?

1. How many years have you diaboloed for?
I've just begun my diabolo experience.  I purchased my first diabolo a couple of weeks ago and I am very disappointed in the quality of the product.  I bought a Zeekio Glow Orbit off of Amazon.com because I wasn't sure what else to buy. They were very small and now I have done more research. I just ordered a Finesse from Renegadejuggling.com with metal sticks, so I'm hoping that I will be able to have more success with this one!  At this point in time, I'd say my skill level is "0."  So any tips would be greatly appreciated!

2. What or who got you started?
My husband and I went to see Cirque Du Soleil: Quidam when it came to our local venue.  Since then he has picked up juggling and we have both become interested in the diabolo.  I also realized that I am sorely in need of attaining more hand - eye coordination and figured that this would be a fun way to increase that skill.

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general?
I find it fascinating.  I don't know if I am truly capable of performing at the skill level of so many performers that I've seen on YouTube, but I guess I won't really know that until I try!

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average?
Between 1/2 - 1 hour.  We bring our diabolos with us to work and practice with them on breaks and when we have some free time at home.

5. Do you ever perform with the diabolo?
Not yet. ;)

6. Do you juggle other props? If so: balls, clubs, rings, cigar boxes, devil sticks... ?
No. My husband has picked up juggling. Maybe I'll be able to do it one day!

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string?
I am looking for suggestions from other people as to which brand/product is the best quality for me.

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best?
I would like to think that one day I would be able to work with multiple diabolos!

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do?
I can't do any tricks yet... But so far I managed to hit my husband in the back of the shoulder from across the room.  A complete accident!

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done?
At the Quidam show the artist was working with four diabolos at one time.  I'm not sure of the name of the tricks that he was performing, but I found it to be absolutely mesmerizing.

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?
Right now I'm working on the basics.  I'm having problems with getting the diabolo started.  I think part of my problem was that I wasn't using a full size diabolo and am waiting for the finesse to be delivered to me.  I really don't have a clue what I am doing at this stage in the game, but I'm more than willing to continue trying until I can figure it out!  I'll take any tips that you have!!

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you?
Every single one I have seen so far!

1. How many years have you diaboloed for?
Almost 6 months.

2. What or who got you started?
I started with juggling balls and diabolo videos eventually started popping up on my YouTube feed, and after watching people like Arata Urawa, Jordan Atz, M4U, etc. I just had to start.

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general?
Everything; it’s great to learn something that is fun, challenging, a form of communication, and a way to connect with other people around the globe.

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average?
Weekdays it ranges from 1-2 hours, and weekends 2-7 hours.  It all depends on how I feel.

5. Do you ever perform with the diabolo?
Not yet, but all my practice is geared towards someday being able to do impromptu street performing.

6. Do you juggle other props? If so: balls, clubs, rings, cigar boxes, devil sticks... ?
Balls, although not studiously because I don’t have any actual “juggling balls” just some cheap stress balls that are hard to control, and I’m looking into clubs maybe sometime in the future, once the money comes around, and loop diabolo as of recently.

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string?
My favorite of the three different diabolos I have, between a Finesse, Taibolo, and Sundia Fly is the Taibolo.  My favorite sticks have been the Henry’s Carbon, except now I’m going to try the Sundia Carbon sticks.  Yellow Henry’s string ftw :P

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best?
That’s hard to answer; I haven’t done two for long enough to have much skill at it, so I’m not sure how much I enjoy it, but my approach to two and one diabolo is very different, so I’d have to say that there are aspects of both which I like and dislike.

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do?
That all depends on the day haha.  I’m trying to go for an eclectic approach, because there are things about integrals/suicides that I like just as much as, say, high tosses and flourishes and knot tricks.

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done?
Technicality wise it has to be some of the 3 vertax tricks I’ve seen, or some of the elaborate suicides that people do, but I personally enjoy things that are technical and classy, and I’ve seen too many of those to name any particular trick.

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?
Body combos, especially around the neck and behind the back tricks (maybe if advanced players would post some tutorials so the isolated diaboloists had rescources!!! :P)

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you?[/url]
Many; William Gilbert, M4U, Arata Urawa, Jordan Atz, Jarle and Håvard Bergo, Elja and Joonas, Etienne, Antoine Dethy, and many others.

First of all welcome to the forums and enjoy your stay!  :)
11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?
Body combos, especially around the neck and behind the back tricks (maybe if advanced players would post some tutorials so the isolated diaboloists had rescources!!! :P)
Just search around the forum and i'm sure you'll find some interesting and helpful tutorials on body combos and many other tricks!  :-D
