1. How many years have you diaboloed for?
i learned basic skills about 10 or 11 years ago (just how to spin, trapeze etc). i concentrated on juggling for a few years, until a shoulder injury put that out of the picture for a while. always do your warm-ups, chaps.

2. What or who got you started?
i started properly again at the birmingham convention last year, where i was very fortunate to meet nick, the king of the 1d string tricks, who helped me out and gave me masses of inspiration. thanks, nick.

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general?
the creativity, the community, the satisfaction of learning and mastering a trick until it's completely fluid.

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average?
across the whole week, probably works out at around an hour a day.

5. Do you ever perform with the diabolo?
no, but i have planned out juggling and diabolo performance routines for others.

6. Do you juggle other props? If so: balls, clubs, rings, cigar boxes, devil sticks... ?
mainly a ball juggler, relatively proficient, i have basic skills in each of the other areas.

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string?
i prefer finesses, carbon or aluminium sticks, henrys string. although i have a fondness for the circus too.

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best?
at the moment i am working on 2d tricks, that's providing me with enough to get my teeth into for the moment...

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do?
i find the trash web very satisfying for 1d for the instantaneous factor. in terms of 2d, it takes just a mere sprinkler or sun to put a smile to my face.

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done?
it has to be feed the sun 2-3 by priam. just because he makes it look so perfect.

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?
i'm very poor at excalibur. and i'm hoping to learn 2d fans and transfers soon, so i'm predicting they won't come easy..

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you?
dave p, trash, jibe, nick.

1. How many years have you diaboloed for?
I've been diaboloing off and on for about 9 years. I only really started getting into it last summer.

2. What or who got you started?
A friend gave me this tiny blue plastic that diabolo I learned most of the basics on.

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general?
The complete focus that takes over your body when you're in the zone.

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average?
It varies from half an hour to about three, sometimes more on a good day. If I let myself I could go on much longer.

5. Do you ever perform with the diabolo?
I haven't yet but I'm thinking of taking them to some local fairs and other such events where other diaboloists will be present.

6. Do you juggle other props? If so: balls, clubs, rings, cigar boxes, devil sticks... ?
I'm just getting into juggling. I have a set of balls and an incomplete set of clubs.

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string?
I've been using Henrys Circus' for a while now which I really like but I really want to try some Finesse but my local juggling store doesn't sell them. I can't remember the brand but I have some fiberglass sticks and yellow polyester string.

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best?
I can do a lot more with one but I have a lot more to learn with two, which makes it more fun.

With one diabolo I'm working on infinite suicides into magic knots to genocide. I'm working on two diabolos high and sprinklers.

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done?
Probably an excalible genocide or a 3d sprinkler.

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?
I'm having trouble keeping my sprinklers going. I can usually get in and out of them but I can't make them got for more than a few seconds.

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you?
It all started when I found JiBe's video site and saw how beautiful he made the diabolo look. Later I found the rest of the Mad French Posse, Matt Hall, Ryo Yabe for starters.
