Sorry, should have done this earlier...anyway...here goes:

Name: Jem
Location: Bristol, UK
Age: 34
Website:

1. How many years have you diaboloed for? About 3, but with a HUGE gap - started in 1993 then gave up in 1996. Started again in May this year. (Wish I never gave it up.) It's actually amazing the way tricks seemed to have evolved after 10 years of not diabloing.

2. What or who got you started? I've always been into creative skills. More recently, saw a guy on the bus with a diabolo, got chatting and it made me dig out by old diabolos....haven't stopped since.

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general?
The challenges of learning new stuff and the feeling of achievement when you've learnt it. Also it's a physical activity, prevents you from being a couch potato and it's fun, unlike a 10 mile jog for example.

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average?
About 1.5, longer at weekends.

5. Do you ever perform with the diabolo?
Not like officially staged stuff but in public like festivals and to friends etc

6. Do you juggle other props? If so: balls, clubs, rings, cigar boxes, devil sticks... ? Mainly in the past yes. Got to 35 throws with 7 balls in 1996 but haven't attempted this since. Still like a bit of three ball now and then. Also dev sticks, etc but only really diab now.

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string?
Not sure, haven't tried avery make and model. At the moment I have 3 Circuses with all round tuning kits, carbon fibres (long) with henrys green string.

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best?
All the best but in different ways. (Not that I can do 3, I'm learning it.)

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do?
Not too sure, I like them all.

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done?
Zacks 3d start blew my mind when I first saw it on this firum.

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?
All those suicide variations where you grab the string and flick it around the diab (the Genocide family?) With 2 I'm working on various grinds, sun combos, sucsessfullly completing the hyperloop every time, the hover, cats cradle, vortex and trapeze (which I  still can't do every time but people say it's easy!) The fan will be soon I think.

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you?[/url]
Antonin & Eric, many of  the videos I've seen on the forum which have been very helpful and informative.

1. How many years have you diaboloed for?
just over 2 and a half now on and off

2. What or who got you started?

the fact that you dont care about anything else when you are diaboloing, it could be nuclear war and i'd still be like "hang on just let me make this smooth"

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average?
maybe all day, maybe not at all...... depends whether i'm feeling it or not

i do quite alot of yoyo, i use ring's for diab a fair bit too but mainly its a string addiction

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string?
i dont like to get tied down to using the same thing all the time, it varies with what i'm doing. but with 1d generally it's a spinabolo pro, 1d loop it's a spinabolo jr, 2d it's mb g2, 3d i might aswell try using televisions

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best?
probably 1, not saying i dont like 2 but theres more string to play with when sessioning 1 and i do love my string tricks (and loop)

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do?

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done?
i couldn't say. but it was probably a techy suicide from hell

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?
wrap transfer variations with 2. you know when you do a trick and you just know it's gonna look terrible... every time honestly. and of course 3d, the only thing that makes me consider ending it all.

well that was a great rant. cheers lads and ladesses. dont frown upon the yoyo. diab+yoyo=loop diab with a spinab jr

depends what trick I am working on but in general - heavy sticks (Henry's alu or MB extreme) with H yellow sting.

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best?
I went straight to 2 diabs when I first learnt and my skills are still very limited with one - Though I am liking 1d stuff at the mo (as long as you count vertax)

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do?
Vertax infinate suicides - they feel soooooo wrong!

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done?
OK most stuff on video I can stop and analise, but one guy that came to my juggling club once did some crazy stuff with one that I'd never seen - it all happened so fast I coudlt work it out - other than that - Zack doing muliple 3d tricks in person at Shefcon

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?
I've given up on 3low (or high), 2 is good though but still struggling with antishuffles / left handed stuff  I really should learn more with one

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you?
Way too many to mention
