huh? Do you mean yoho diabolo, or the fibreglass handsticks make the string go fast?
Just noticed my circus axle things are going rusty, haven't used them for a couple of months, not even a year old.

Hello all I've been lurking around these boards for quite some time. I just recently noticed this thread so thought I might as well introduce myself.

Name: Brian
Location: Denmark
Age: 31

1. How many years have you diaboloed for?
About a year, mostly in the summer months.

2. What or who got you started?
I work with children at an afterschool center (don't know if that's the right word) and we had a few diabolos. I only knew how to throw and catch. One day a colleague showed me a few tricks. I looked up diabolo on the internet and found a whole new world to explore :)

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general?
That you don't necessarily compete against others like football or other kind of teambased sports. I think it's more about competing against yourself and getting better. And having fun ofcourse.

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average?
Depends, I diabolo a lot at work with the children so sometimes 3-4 hours at work, which is mostly showing new tricks or passing with a few kids.

5. Do you ever perform with the diabolo?
Not really, except at work teaching the kids.

6. Do you juggle other props? If so: balls, clubs, rings, cigar boxes, devil sticks... ?
I just started out juggling 3 balls. Not very good at it though but loads of fun.

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string?
Taibolo and Sundias Flys/Suns, short carbon sticks (Sundia or Henry's, they are almost similar), Sundia's string even though it tangles a lot, but it feels a lot better to play with than Henry's in my opinion.

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best?
I can only do 1 and 2 but have no real preference. I fancy both.

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do?
Hmm, I like doing crossed sticks suns with 2d.

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done?
Can't really think of a single trick, even a simple trick can look amazing if done really well and in a good context.

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?
Genocide 1d and sprinkler/suns 2d

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you?
Various people at this board, The Mad French Possee (I like Vux and Jibe the most) and William Lin which I must admidt I do admire a lot.

1. How many years have you diaboloed for?
I just received my first diabolo in September or October.

2. What or who got you started?
I caught a glimpse of a guy on T.V performing with a diabolo in front of a crowd of people on a Travel Channel program.  This led me to more research, and I purchased one from the JugglingStore.

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general?
I love the fact that there is always something new to learn with any skill toy.  I also love just the feeling of playing with it and impressing people.

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average?
During a school week, I often find it difficult to diabolo for a long period of time, but I try to as much as a I can. When I have free time, I'll play with it for an hour or more.  It all depends on how I'm feeling.

5. Do you ever perform with the diabolo?
I have yet to show people (besides my family) the art, but I'm planning on performing at my local park once I become better.

6. Do you juggle other props? If so: balls, clubs, rings, cigar boxes, devil sticks... ?
I can juggle three balls in the typical fashion.  I'm also thinking of buying a set of devil sticks, but that isn't on my mind much.

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string?
I only have my one Henrys Jazz diabolo, wooden sticks that come free from JugglingStore and Henry's pack of 3 strings.  I have yet to try anything else.

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best?
I'm still working with one diabolo, and I don't know when I'm going to experiment with two ore more.  I'm planning on asking for another diabolo for Christams to try two diaboling.

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do?
My array of tricks isn't that large yet, but I like when I nail whips.  It feels good to not see the diabolo crash against the ground every time I miss a whip.

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done?
Gosh, there are so many.  The guy in the video 'Carnage' was mind-blowing, and he looked like he was in fast motion.  I think that three diabolos is impressive, too.

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?
I'm working on nailing whips every time and orbiting around my leg.

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you?[/url]
All of those guys in the videos I've seen (Pranay and the people in the Diabolo.ca Collaberation Video.)

Additional Notes:
You can catch me on the Topspinning forum

I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys!

At first excuse my bad english!!!

1. How many years have you diaboloed for?
1,5 years- just. But I really love it!

2. What or who got you started?
I was on vacation in Römö (Danmark) last easter holidays and my mum bought me a little diabolo after I asked her many many times. I already startet juggling (a little bit ball stuff) one year ago and wanted to learn more of course. And that's the way the whole thing started

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general?
I love it when I am free in mind. While I juggle, I have to think nothing alse. It's an absolute freedom. And of course you get to know many nice and lovely people...

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average?#
Well, the last few weeks, my time is very limited. I don't do just diabolo, I love clubs and balls, too. ´But nearly every freetime I have, I juggle. And some of the time I juggle, it's Diabolo. Normally half an hour, maybe. But at the moment... My godness, I have to train harder =)

5. Do you ever perform with the diabolo?
I once was on stage at school, it was the presentation of our little juggling workshop we did last year. But nothing really professional.

6. Do you juggle other props? If so: balls, clubs, rings, cigar boxes, devil sticks... ?
I do balls, everything started with them, and clubs. Clubs are nearly my favourite props, I think. (beside  diabolo, of course)

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string?
Well: Henrys Circus, Alu ( I like the sounds...) and the most normal string I get (okok, I love the one with the 2 colours...)

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best?
I'm not very good at 2, so at the moment, I love 1 the most. But I hope, I will become better and can do more with two.

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do?
Well, I don't know why, but I love all these inverse trapeze stuff very much. Easy, but fun. Of course, genocides and suicides are really impressive, I can do them too, but some times its the little things that can make you happy.

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done?
There are a lot things that are totally against physics, I love them all.

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?
I'm working on 2 diabolos. It's really difficult to learn it, I think (I know, I could train more, then it would be easier...).

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you?
hmm...  maybe Martijn Halekor (really like your work very much.)
