All videos are here http://norbithejuggler.co.uk/temp/ and all instructions are written for right handed people.

1) 8 rings for 16 catches.
I actually thought this was only 14 catches, so i kept trying for about 15 minutes becuase i wanted to it 16, after killing my hands i went home and looked at the footage, turned out that the '14' catches was actually 16, crazy. (completely off topic, but impressive none-the-less i think.

2)whip* duicide to behind the back catch.
Ok, firstly just download the Diabolo comp from any lutkus mirror and watch Ryo's routine (here's where i got it http://knaeuel.stw-bonn.de/lutkus.rh.rit.edu/juggling/performance/IJA2004/diabolo_comp.mpg ) it includes every whip-duicide you might need (except the whip double duicide caught behind the back straight into 2 diabolos!??!?! But you can see that on the WJF DVD [i am not affiliated with Jason in any way   )

I actually catch different from Ryo, i think my way is easier (and they are barely noticably different unless you know) Ryo catches with his right palm facing backwards and his thumb down, this makes the catch a lot smoother so you can get straight out quicker. I catch with my palm pretty much just straight up, and i catch the string and let it slip down to the handle (i do aim for the handle, but catching the string is easier, and looks no different at full speed [much]) The left hand catch with palm up, like a reverse backcross. The right arm should be straight and preferably pointing upwards a bit. The left hand should be completely bent with the left hand in the middle of the back. Oh and the music rocks.

*optional

3) Leg-kick mini genocide. (Da L-kick mini-G  8) )
Do a regular suicide and catch the string a couple of inches away from the right stick. Swing the stick around whilst holding the string. As soon as it has made 1 complete rotation lift your leg and let the stick wrap around it and back again, to change direction of the swinging stick. AS SOON as it has hit your leg, hop the other diabolo just off the string straight up. Bring the right stick over the top of it, inline with the axle, so it wraps around. To get the accuracy, almost touch the axle of the diabolo. Once it has made contact with the axle, immediately let go of the string and move your hand downwards quickly to catch the stick as it wraps around the diabolo.

For added style points, swing it twice before recapturing it, and let it wrap around twice afterwards. This version, the basic version and the warm-up move (or the 'Tijn' Style move) are on the video.

Hope those random ramblings help anyone with anything.

Cheers for that N,
I wasn't sure if that was 16 catches either, kinda low pattern there, good stuff.  And for sharing one of your signature tricks.  I remember when I first saw the move, called the Insanocide wasn't it?  Liking it,

get reasonably comfortable with 6 rings (i'd say a solid 30 catches will do nicely) if you are having trouble with this then try continuous flashes (and pirouettes) with 4 rings, then 3 in each hand separately for a wihle. Being able to excecute a 6 ring pirouette can help. Work on releasing 4 from one hand, and then the other hand. Practise flashing 4 rings in each hand separetly (that on its own will take some time) then see if you can flash them together (on sync) when this starts working, try async. Flash this 5 times in a row, then get 10 catches 5 times in a row, then 12, 14, 16! yay.

have fun.  :)

Indeed helpful, first I shall get some normal rings instead of the ridculously heavy outdoor rings I have, and get more than 5 of them.  Oh and a very tall indoor practise place.  (just a lil off topic).

No, no! You may certainly not take a diabolo into the corner with you. :)

My problem with the leg kick minigen is that when I go to "throw"  the string back around, the stick doesn't wrap, it just kind of pushes the diabolo down and it flies off.  Is there anything I can do to prevent this problem?

try and get your finger almost touching the axle, so it definately makes contact at the pivot, that way it'll already be swinging around the diabolo. Not sure of any other help, i dont think about it, i just do it

p.s. Sorry for getting you in trouble Fireblade  :)

I'm gonna get my brother on you for getting me in trouble with Mr. Anderson... :P

I think another tip with the string not wrapping might be you're swinging with your hand not over the diabolo enough.  If you're too far over the side, then its got further to swing to wrap round.  If you try and grab the string and swing so your hand it pretty much over the axle, that should be better.
