Is this possible?
« on: August 06, 2010, 11:02:19 PM »
Ok So I would love to have a own streetshow.. But you need a final trick and the best thing is if its dangerous..
Now I thought of something. But I don't know if its somewhat over the top :D

So its the following thing.

Put out some glass on the floor ( Most jugglers here should know that everyone can walk over glass and lay on it and you can trick people really simple with it.. )
Then I do an S-Fan while standing on the glass and then try to lay down on it. So laying on the glass while doing an S-fan.

Now I think that should be fine.. But how about this!
Using 2 fire diabolo's ( the finesse kits )
Putting some lamp oil in my mouth.
Then asking someone to hold a torch above my head and I spit the diabolo's on wihle lying on the ground?
It would be an amazing final trick! But I think ive gone to far :D

You would then have someone with a torch that has the risk of getting a Fire finesse at him.
And If the city you live in thinks it's ok to do a show... I don't think they would appreciate fire
If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends?
When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

And okay.. Then withouth fire..
I just did a brainstorm session with a friend and we came up with something new! I shall post the idea in the performance part tommorow and see what you people think of it and how to improve :)

Some places allow fire as long as your insured for it (check your local council above all else).  Nothing like being uninsured and having some hapless person accidentally catch fire, leaving you with a legal battle and costs (on a related note, it reminds me of the line, "go ahead and sue me - look at all the great crap you'll win!").

The idea sounds interesting, all said (the logistics and how to build up to such a thing are up to you, of course). But, now that you've put this out in the open, don't be surprised if someone else decides "that's a nice final trick" and you see them using it.

I find this easier than the standard Trash's web.

Use powdered milk or drinking chocolate in a tube instead of lamp oil because its much safer for you. If not use pure paraffin (100% kerosene) if you can get it.

How did that happen???

I won't surprised if this ends up somewhere else too!

On the subject of fire...
I do firebreathing and poi/staff outside clubs sometimes and you need PLI (public liability insurance)
Coz im a student it was only like £15 for a year.
But it depends on your income from performing how much your insurance will be.  Probs between £100 and £200...
There's my two pence.  now lets hope it ends up in the right place....
Or this could be hysterically embarrassing.
