Circus hubs.
« on: August 31, 2010, 03:21:56 PM »
I want to buy a diabolo I can abuse on concrete as i want to keep my crystal suns nice.
The circus seams the best for this with rubbercups and whatnot.
I've never used one myself but from general internet snoopings it seams that everyone preferes the super licht kit.
I don't want to have to pay more than £20 for a diab im just going to abuse.
Does it still play well with the stock hubs?

ps. i love how batterd white ones look (for example thomas' from his last vid)

I think most people is using other hubs than the standard ones.
And if you are going to use these to practise with, why don't use money on them?
Are you thinking of having performance and practise- diabolos?
And the weight difference is pretty huge between a normal circus and a light sun, (though i don't know if you have heavy version  ::))

I have light and heavy.  I prefere the heavy  (PARTIALLY COZ THE COLOURS ARE BETTER - BUT LESS SAID ABOUT THAT THE BETTER)

I preactice on grass so ill still use my suns mainly.
The circus will jsut be for when im on concrete ie. busking.
but mainly just for abuse, hence on the fence about spending extra dollah.

Well, busking wont be rewarded good enough if you don't have preferred equipment, unless you are skilled with equipment you don't like ;)

Why ARE people so adverse to the standard hubs?

Why ARE people so adverse to the standard hubs?

The damage that metal and metal tipped sticks make (and how that changes the way the diabolos feel) and the move towards lighter and smoother running diabolos.

If your never used replacement hubs you might/should be perfectly happy with stock diabs. I don't feel as happy when I use those as I got used to pom hubs.

Tom 'tomicide' Derrick (invisible .ca mod) and Zack 'doesn't realise that he can chase girls and still do mad things with 3d' Turner are two diaboloists I know that prefer to use standard circus.
