Finesse Diabolo Tripod
« on: January 07, 2011, 01:24:48 PM »
I took one of my finesse G3's apart and I noticed how the centre thing (dunno the name) was shaped simmilarly to a tripod insert of a camera. I used my finesse to create a tripod. Now you don't have any more excuses for shaky footage! :)

Not 100% stable, but you can pan left to right. Still trying to figure out how to pan up and down...

very creative! Are you also thinking about legs for it though? A tripod isn't much good on the ground :)

Thanks for the replies! I was think it would be useful for place cameras on slightly uneven surfaces, or if your camera cannot stand on it's own. Haven't considered legs yet, I'll take a look.  :)

Figured out how to change the angle! Simply put the entire thing on the main big spherical thing. (I need to learn the names...)  still thinking about legs, that's going to need a bit more than a finesse diabolo. Perhaps handsticks?
