I spoke to the owner of a juggling/kites shop called kites aloft and he reckoned it would be september before they are in the shops. He says Babache tell you about something a long time before it comes out to get you talking and to get your hopes up.

Pictures were posted on Jongle.net [PDF] by Priam of the new sticks. Looks like they're going to release both the acrylic (really flexible) and the aluminum versions. Also check out the updated Mr. Babache news page for pictures of the handle decorations and a close up cut off picture of the screwed in tip.

Thank you so much for sharing that Sean! :D I really want those sticks, I' think I'll buy one set of acrylic and one set of aluminum.

When can we order them? How can we order them? Are the sticks available at EJC 2005?

Thanks for sharing that Sean, all looks awesome.  All of their new things that they say they were gonna put out, in a nice colour brochure (though Evo 2 is still missing...)  Are the acrylic sticks like the Beard Hi-Spin Control sticks (can't find a pic of them, but they're like bendy acrylics rods with blue painted handles, not great though.)  Are these the same sort of bendy?  The transparency is a cool though.

Also with the X-treme Sticks, they look a lil chunky.  Are they now Henry's Aluminium thin or MB Performer thin?  Because that was my main gripe about the MB Performer sticks.  I'm liking the ideas though of the screw on tips, it's what I've been trying to design ever since i heard about the development.

I`m not sure who I heard talking about this, but I heard (possibly MFP member) telling there would also be the possebility of spare tips, so if they get nicks or stuff, you can just repleace the tops.
Who knows more about this?

Back in December, word on the street was that the sticks would come with 2 sets of tips and that spare tips would be made available. Who knows what the final decision was.

Priam mentioned on jongle.net that the sticks are available now - it's just a matter of getting them through the distributor chain and out to the shops that ask for them.

So... feel free to start the old letter writting campaign with your local juggling store and make sure they feel the pressure. :)

I've bought the new babache sticks uesterday evening. They are pretty, i've bought the transparent energy.
But, cause of raining, i've tried the sticks only few minutes and with only one diabolo. The feeling is strange but great, because of the flexibility.
I will use the sticks more today evening, and after i will tell tou more about them.

well the usual suspects are selling the rubber griped x-treme handsticks in the UK. I assume other shops should now have or be getting soon so give your favourite shops a call.

I'm resisting hard since I really want the version with the plastic sleave grips (look less clunky to me)

I really want to get my hands on the Energy sticks but i can't find a U.K Seller! So i'll have to stop my self from buying the X-treme and just be patient!

They look so good  [-o<

Finaly my new computer is up and running, wouldn't of expected to have 2 and a half full pages of new posts though!

well I got them today.

lovely so far, I havent got them outside for the big stuff but they are working well for 2

My first impressions, chubbier than my Henrys. (both the metal and the foam grips), the weights nice, foams a bit rough but then they are new.

But so far I'm very glad I got them. I cant wait to try the plastic sleeved ones and even the energy ones.

I hate the string BTW. A hit in the gums and another in the crotch, where did I put my Henrys yellow?

So much for resisting hard.  You caved dude, you sold out...  They do look a bit chunky (how MB like their things).

Good that they've finally come out, thought they'd never see the light of day.  As long as they get it right first time and haven't rushed anything.

yeah I folded quicker than Superman on laundry day.

The clunkiness is not that bad a thing actually. simple things like whip catches sometimes cause me trouble with my short henrys but the choggin' grips seem to help here (and I wasn't going to wait 5 years for babache to sell the old performer handgrips ;) ).They arent as good for grinds IMHO that isn't a big thing for me.

The literature that comes with them mentions using teflon tape on the threads so I'm expecting the threads to come loose sooner than later.

I tried new X-Treme sticks (think it was them) and I really like them.. Seems like everything goes pretty well with them..  :D

And yes, they are rescrewing VERY often... Looked something like that: Antonin was doing combo, after it he "rescrewed" his sticks and continued
