Mr B evo 2 (bearing axle)
« on: August 17, 2011, 05:52:01 PM »
Had a quick play with the prototype at the EJC.
Planned release is October.

They are the same width as a standard axle it was nice to play with a standard width bearing diabolo that wasn't a bit weird (like some of the Taiwanese narrow axles)

I didn't automatically think 'this is heavy' but can't say how much weight was added by the kit.

Not deadly quiet but not anything like a dying fly.

not one, not two, not three but FOUR bearings (different from ones used in other diabolos)... let the bearing wars begin.

In juggling shops you dink... Distributors first then the rest of the shops, so in the UK that would be Butterfingers followed by Firetoys/Oddballs/Airtime/Jesters/Lovelyjugglies etc. etc. as they become aware that the product is in country and they place orders.

Similar situation for other countries (which I don't know who the distributors are)

Hi, recently (well, quite a while ago now) I starte a saturday job, and I thought it'd be nice to splash out on getting a bearing diabolo. I'd decide that I'd get one of the new circus' - which have more sturdy cups than the fly but aren't as expensive as the shining... But now I've found out from here that they'll have a kit for the finesse!!! And i'm using/learning with 2 now, which would you say is best to choose between the 2? Is it worth getting a circus as a bearing diabolo and keeping the finesse's as fixed axles?
Thanks, Philip
PS Also, just to add, does anyone know what size screws are used for the Evo 4 light kits? I've lost a couple :S
PPS I'm very pleased to have complete infinite suicides in 75% of attempts! :D Now just to learn genocides, and then some 2D tricks ( or are there some other key advance tricks worth learning for 1D)

hey.
i have never tried the bearing circus, but its said to be very nice.
i own a sundia shining x3 bearing, its really awesome.
so either get one of them, or you could buy the evo 2 kit, and change the axles during practice. (thats at least the cheapest option :P)

I got both, the Circus bearing and the 3k(a regular fly as well but we all know that it has nothing on the 3k). After playing with the Circus bearing for a while, i came to the following conclusion:

+ No sound that could annoy you after some time
+ Pretty good single bearing
+ good circus cups

- The circus has nothing on the 3k
- Not a good diabolo for vertax

And after playing with 2 3ks for a while, i dont like playing 2d with bearings so i wouldnt choose bearings to learn it.

Fixed axle ftw
you say goodbay i say halo
