Spider Leg,

I've merged your thread with this existing one. It has plenty of advice for you to solve your speed problems. Try out several different methods and see if you have a particular affinity for one or another.

I use chinese whips for 1 d, and 2 diabolo right backwrap hovers.
Btw, i figured out a actual infinite sprinkler.
(The one part when it becomes non-infinite is when one falls off the string =P)

Chinese whips with 1 and 2. Working on backwraps with 3.

Also, it doesnt look very good because the diabolos rub cups a LOT while your powering the so its actually kind of funny looking. Yes, theres still that camera problem, but i'll try.

I'd recommend you use Acceleration Loops as standard, but Chinese Acceleration becomes handy sometimes, so you might want to get these down as well. They are nice for getting alot of speed as soon as possible, but Acceleration Loops are much more consistant, and it's much smoother on your gear. Do it all, man!  :-*

Yeh, I guess you're right. Has anyone here come up with an original way of speeding their diabolo up?

Yeah. Throw your diabolo on to your string, bring the whole thing up to your head, and then blow really hard on it and pray!

I have

Try doing normal chinese whipe thrusts just instead of keeping your wrist standing still you make it go with the diabolo

Example : Diabolo goes up wrist goes down, diabolo goes down wrist goes up

Hope this helps

if I had to choose between wrapped orbit or one of the chinese accelerations, I would choose
the wrapped orbit. This is because my wrapped orbit makes more speed at the end although
the chinese accelerations make speed quicker*.

(*this is only in my case)

i have never mastered chinese whips because a allways loose control however orbits are the one if you want quck speed and safe speed however i feel you need fast reactions to gain the orbits full potential
